ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Footlocker
We will have a brief meeting today after practice to discuss fundraisers for Footlocker. Please ask your son/daughter if you are interested in participating. We will have a brief meeting for athletes participating in Footlocker on Nov. 1st during lunch in room 203. All athletes attending are expected to attend the meeting. Remaining $700 deposit is due at that time. Please reach out if this is an issue or you have questions. We will have a parent meeting during the week of Footlocker for final arrangements.
Please spread the word about the Halloween Fun Run. This is a fundraiser for anyone going to Footlocker. Anyone can run--there are great prizes and treats. It is a great family run! Wear costumes, easy course, etc. Starts and ends at Granite Health and Fitness. Please sign up here:

State teams-
We determine state teams by time and work ethic. If an athlete has been working hard all year (going to practice, not missing important practices, good attitude, etc), they are considered for the state team. We take 8 girls and 8 boys to state. 7 run and 1 is considered an alternate. Teams will be decided by coaches after the city meet and then expected to be at practices Friday, Saturday and the following week. We have practice on Oct. 19th (even though there is no school) and we depart on the 20th. State is in Kalispel, Montana.
Banquet-
Please plan on attending our cross country banquet. Every athlete in attendance will get to stand up and be recognized by coaches. We also have senior speeches, a few special awards, and a video of the team. We will do this on Oct. 26th at West High. A more formal/detailed invite will be distributed later.
Senior Boards
This is just a display of pictures so that your Senior can be
recognized. Please have your board there by 6:00 p.m. to get set up.
Baked Items
We like to have desserts at the banquet. If you can bring a
dessert, please let me know. Here is who has signed up so far:

Off Season
It is hard to stop running and go to nothing! I will give some race plans for those athletes wanting to continue running. It is also nice to just take a break and take a little time off. We will continue practices just for those going to Nike. After the Nike race, we will meet once a week with those going to Footlocker (Mondays). Anyone can continue to come on Mondays to check in. Track is always encouraged! Track practices will start after the Christmas holiday. Anyone can come run with us--even if they are not doing track.
We are also working on putting together a form clinic. More information will be passed on about this.
